By Land: Exploring Grenada is a must for anyone vacationing on the island, you can explore Grenada on your own by renting a car or taking a tour with one of the trusted guides specializing in historical, cultural, nature watching or chocolate tours.
Grenada’s mountains and valleys have rare tropical flowers, a great variety of birdlife, cloud-covered tropical rainforest, amazing waterfalls, rivers and even volcanic lakes. You can safely explore the island and find plantations of nutmegs and cocoa, exciting natural trails and isolated beaches with black and white sand. Centuries-old plantations and rum distilleries which still use traditional methods which produce quality over quantity, and integrity that is widespread across the island and gives it its own unique character.
By sea: You can spend your days diving or snorkelling with one of the many diving company in Grenada; or you can charter a bareboat or a crewed yacht and explore the sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

GRENADA NATIONAL MUSEUM
Once a former French Army barracks & prison, this building later became Grenada’s first hotel and is now today, the site of the Grenada’s National museum , housing numerous heritage and historical artefacts, many of those from the Kalinago people.
SENDALL TUNNEL
Walk through the historic Sendall Tunnel, a narrow 340-ft passageway built in 1894 that burrows through the hill to reach Bruce St and the rest of St George’s. It was built for horse carriages – hence its tight dimensions – but cars and pedestrians use it today.
Grenada West Coast Activities
DOUGALDSTON ESTATE
Dougaldston Estate is the first stop into Gouyave from the south. It was once one of the largest and most productive cocoa and banana plantations on the island. At Dougaldston, you can still witness the remnants of old slave and laborer barracks that lie in ruins amidst the shadow of the “big house”.
GRENADA NATIONAL STADIUM
This open space once famous for its horse track, was a gift to the people of Grenada to mark Queen Victoria’s 50th Anniversary, now is home to our National Stadium and hosts major local, regional and international sporting and other festive events & shows. The stadium was host to ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
Grenada East Coast Activities
GOVERNMENT HOUSE
It has been many years since Hurricane Ivan devastated Grenada and astonishingly many of our country’s important historic monuments remain in disrepair. In 1790, this was part of a compound used to house soldiers originally. Visit and see for yourself the ruins of a battery, abandoned in 1804.
LAKE ANTOINE
Lake Antoine is a lake formed in the crater of an extinct volcano. It's possible to walk down from the car park to the lake's edge for a closer look at the impressive birdlife. It’s located in Grenada’s most northern parish, St Patricks. It is the second largest lake on the island, the largest is Grand Etang Lake.
